Any BHID users having problems with Hot Rocks?

Horse...sometimes I do. I have found that for some areas with them, if you get one that is 3-4 inches and is sounding off, to try and ground balance to that and knock it out. The BHID will then run pretty smooth through the areas with them.
The only caveat is that when I did this, I am not sure if I was missing the deeper targets. I did get coins and the 5-6 inch level but none deeper. Then again, there may have not been deeper coins there anyway.
Also, I hunted in all metal most of the time, and now that I think about it, never tried to switch back to discrim to see how it operated.

That's excactly how I handled it. I hadn't experienced that before with the BHID and I just wanted to make sure my machine was operating properly. Its smooth as a whistle most of the time but I hit a spot the other evening that was either from renurishment or old road bed that has since washed away. The beaches I normally hunt require little to no ground balancing so I just operate with the setting at 12:00. Thanks.

This time of year here in Corpus Christi, Texas there are a lot of Hot Rocks on the beach but since I wear shoes they dont burn my feet.
The sidewalks can get very toasty but the black asphalt is the absolute worst to walk barefoot on.
Not much magnetite down here.
