Wow

you are tearing it up great hunts! As far as the 44 mercs I believe we had a rain storm of those, I'm with you and can't believe how many of those get dug.

Thanks Digger. I have been pretty lucky with the hunts of late. BTW that comment about the 44 Mercs was made by someone else on the thread.

Nice finds. I got one 1896-s dime over the years.
Buy some Nic -A-Date Nickel Date Restorer for your roached out nickel. I use that to pull the year off worn out nickels
as it is nice to see the year.

Thanks FDP. I had some of that Nic-A-Date a long time ago. I will have to buy some again.

sunraysux hi,

There is a thing in the E-trac where you can spread the sounds out a bit further apart by running the number from the factory setting I think it's 25 or 26 to 30 so you get a bit of difference in sound from the numbers so you may be able to hear a slight difference from a clad and a silver coin. I just ran to check my machine and it's under the AUDIO heading up top on the menu bar, scroll down into that screen till you get to the TONES setting, it wants you to hit the right arrow then it has VARIABILITY which I set to 30 and it has LIMITS which I also set to 30 to spread the sounds out the most. Try that out.

My threshold PITCH is set at 15 which I think is factory I tried setting it higher and lower and you can play with that to as it moves the whole sound spectrum up higher or down lower for people with hearing range difficulties whom may hear high sounds better or lower sounds better. My REGULAR THRESHOLD I have at 14 I think factory is 15 so it's got a softer quieter threshold hum that doesn't wear out my hearing.
