Another brass piece. Not sure what.

Found this around a bunch of dropped bullets. It’s definitely of interest. One end is hollow with a tapered hole, like inverted cone. No threads or anything. The other end is solid and flat with small holes through it around the perimeter. It’s a lathe made piece of brass from what I can tell. The hole does not extend through and is not other wise hollow at all. I have something here, just not sure what.

Hopefully you will.... I have a couple mystery pieces that I have found and have no idea what they are too.
Just curious... is that tapered hole at the top of the piece in the first photo and the flange with the small holes around it at the bottom?

That’s how I’m thinking it goes, yes. The flange with the holes is thick and heavy compared to the end with the tapered hole. It’s heavier than anything decorative. It had a job to do.
 
Thinking maybe a stove foot/leg or something of the like since its so heavy duty.
