I just got home and cleaned up after a 200 mile or so round trip today to a couple lakes.I didn't get allot of coins, but wasn't really looking for them anyway. And If I dig One more pull tab or or beaver tail from one I'll scream. That was until I got home and checked the gold chain(tested 12k on two links) and Antique white gold &red stone(marked 18k).The chain is 36 grams. And tested 12k on the Mizar24.I will have it checked tomorrow to be sure. Please,Please,Please let it be good..... :) The chain was almost a foot down and took 7-8 scoops to get it in the basket. and was a solid 12-24 for a reading.I was running wide open screen and listening to the iron and waiting for low tones.I also got a coin that says( This is my lucky day) Plus about 50 some pull-tabs. Grumpy And Probably Grumpier tomorrow( Boy am I sore tonight)

That is a beautiful recovery, congratulations Grumpy.

the cash should ease the pain !!!!

Sweet. rest those bones, verify that the chain is all gold (I sure hope so) and get back out there!

Congrats on the great finds! At 7 or 8 scoops to get it in the basket, that works out to over $125 per scoop! Between it and that beautiful ring, those aches and pains should go away real fast! Nice job! HH Randy

If its 14 K its 1192.00, 10K 852.00 or 12K 1022.00. I think you can put up with a few more pull tabs for that kind of money!! And the other gold is gravy!! Congrats

"Better luck next time Grumps"..:cheekkiss:.....Luv...Tex.

Great looking ring! Hope the chain is the real deal for you. That would be a nice payday.
I guess it was your lucky day. HH

Sorry to hear that :/

Just wanted to a sk to see the clasp on the chain. Usually, gold is not 12K solid; mostly 1/10 or 1/20 gold filled. Sometimes however, 14K can come in on a gold tester at 12K, usually means low grade. Also, sometimes the 12K can come up with pieces that have alot of jewelry solder in it. Post the pic of the clasp, that tells alot about the piece.
Thanks,
Mike

The times that I have seen a gold chain turn that kinda tarnish color it was silver with gold plate . If I was you I would check the base metal and see if it is silver.
