"Downeaster, how would you know whether or not Tesoro had there best year ever 2010 ?"

downeaster said:
Stock market analysis reports, financial records, and investment prospectus reports ,all public information. Metal detectors are not Tesoros only business.

For a privately held company??? I don't think so.

ALL businesses in the U.S.A. , whether privately held or not, have public information available including IRS tax records under the Freedom of Information Act and a multitude of other laws.Do yourselves a favor, and instead of asking questions and doubting the answers, do some research on your own. Information is knowledge. There is much information online on just about any company you want to research, if you care to take the time, Tesoro included. I don't understand all the negativity towards Tesoro . Tesoro is a solid company, offering a solid performing , American made product with an outstanding service record, and the best guarantee in the business. Even IF Tesoro were to go under, they would have a loyal following for years to come, just as Compass ond others have. I would politely suggest that if anyone is not happy with the current Tesoro lineup of products or the way Tesoro does business, just simply change brands.

downeaster - I hope you are right when you say that 2010 was Tesoro's best year for sales ever. It is possible, I don't know. And I don't think you know either. You certainly don't know based on "stock market analysis reports" and "investment prospectus reports" for a privately held company like Tesoro.

In your previous post you suggested that public information was available and that's how you came to your knowledge. If that's so, then you should have no problem sharing that information with us here. And please, don't say "do your own research" or some variation on that avoid the question cop-out. I didn't say 2010 was Tesoro's best sales year ever, you did. And you stated it as a definite fact. It's not unreasonable for me or anyone else to ask you for statistics to back up your statement.

Everyone I have ever dealt with at Tesoro has been great, and I've always gotten excellent customer service from them. I have two of their fine detectors and they serve me well. And their warranty/repair policy is the best in the industry, hands down. So I am absolutely not negative on Tesoro.

What I am negative about is when you make up a statement and suggest that it is fact.

If I'm wrong, prove it and I'll apologize.

Marcomo, I have no intention of debating this subject with you or anyone else. You say you doubt my statement, that's fine. Instead of offering negative opinions, offer some hard facts and prove me wrong. And yes, you can do your own research as it is all there, if you take the time to look it up.There is nothing more convincing than seeing it for yourself. I have stated several times where you can look for that information and just because Tesoro is a privately held company doesn't mean they don't pay taxes. That's a good place for you to start. It is not uncommon for investors to compare private and public to get an idea where the market is going, looking for trends, and to see which sector has the best growth rate. With all due respect, I am always willing to listen to facts; negative opinions, derogatory accusations or speculation will get no further response.

downeaster - I didn't think you could back up what you were saying with any evidence but, believe it or not, I was hoping you would.

So I'll just say one thing I'm sure we can agree on...Viva Tesoro!
