after air testing the Kellyco Vulcan 360 pinpointer

I got the Vulcan with the purchase of my minelab safari last month, due to the weather in North eastern Ohio I have to had the chance to use it much but so far I like it. My only gripes are: 1. Adjusting the sensitivity is a pain, I would have preferred a turn on and go or some other way to adjust the sensitivity.... I feel like I spend more time pressing and holding a button than I do actually searching for my finds. 2. The holster has an uncanny ability to turn the Vulcan on if I accidentally bump it or just reporter it. 3. The battery compartment is held in with a screw.... Why didn't kellyco design it where the entire bottom is a screw on instead?

As far as performance I like it a lot... But then again this is my first decent probe. I was using the harbor freight probe until now.

I don't mind digging more dirt. That is okay with me, i enjoy the search part, it ain"t "work" for me. But what i do hate is putting the target on my towel and i still can't find it cause my pin-pointer keeps seeing it 3 inches away:) Good Luck, Hope you find a ton of good stuff.:):)[/quote]

I don't feel like there's any right or wrong when it comes to whether you prefer more or less pinpointer depth. It's all depends on how you detect. Hope you find a lot of keepers too, and hopefully we'll both be really impressed with the Vulcan. The new White's PP looks pretty good too...
