Hi all,
I purchased an Explorer XS yesterday and have been experimenting with pretty good results.
Can you please tell me as a generalisation what depth you would expect to get a signal with a target using copper coins 1" dia 2mm thick and 3/4" dia and 1 1/2 mm thick buried thin edge up
in clean soil.
I have been using quick start and have started to experiment, the pin pointing is very good far better than my Sovereign XS pro.
Many Thanks,
Jerry.

I have gotten dime sized coins on edge down 8 inches or more with a fairly good signal.. The Sov and Explorer are no doubt the best at seeing coins on edge and seeing them from all directions.. cant say how every type coin will do in every ground condition in depth, but you can bet your machine will see them better than any other in the same conditions.. at least any I have tested on them, most machines will only see them from one angle, and usually only on one direction of the sweeps

Glad to see you got the XS instead of the S. You will never regret spending the extra money. Wait till you start "teaching" your machine and making those custom patterns.
