ACE 250 Kellyco 10 x 14

i have this coil for my ace 250 it gets good depth but after 45 minutes i find myself just about dragging it around. Gets front heavy fast i turned to coil around and it seemed to make a big difference with being front heavy and also the back of the coil is more sensitive so it works even better when pinpointing. Turn it around and try it I think you will feel the difference. My issue is i need to shim mine or something because it doesn't tighten to the shaft very well and wants to keep falling on its nose.

Well, guys... here I go spending money again. I ordered one of these coils today, along with a lesche digger. I'll put it through it's paces on the 350 as soon as it comes in!

You're going to love it.

i just did some ressearch, http://cgi.ebay.com/10-x14-DD-EXCelerator-Coil-Garrett-Ace-Series-/170605776974?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27b8e5904e#ht_4071wt_939
this price is a lot less than kellyco's price!

Got my 10x14 coil in today, attached it to my 350 and took it out... it was a little more nose heavy than I liked, so I turned it around backwards. It balanced much better that way, and after shortening the detector rod, it was quite comfortable to swing. It was a little heavier than the stock 350 coil, but certainly manageable. The depth is deeper than the stock coil, but I'm not sure by how much yet. I don't generally air test, because it never seems to be the same as in the dirt tests. Pinpointing with this coil, at least for me, was even more spot on than with the original. Long story short, I'm very pleased with this thing! Certainly worth the $150 I did manage to find a few coins with it today, but they were all at 6" or less.
Thanks for the good advice, guys!!

Congratulation. I know I love mine.
Yes the weight is a little more but I have no trouble with it.
The biggest the Ace had was the 9 x 12, and in my opinion it wasn't worth crap.
But that's to me.

Keep us posted

To get the sale price of $99 on the 10"x14" DD Exellerator search coil for the Ace 250, you have to go to the Ace 250 page on KellyCo's website. Don't go to the accessories/search coils page. It's $149.95 plus $14.95 shipping on that page. However, on the Ace 250 page, it's $99.95 plus $9.95 shipping. No additional or detector purchase necessary. Scroll about halfway down the page. Here's a link:

http://www.kellycodetectors.com/garrett/garrett-ace250.htm

Just below the search coil, on the same webpage, you'll see a "loop support" that is on sale for ten bucks. These are really nice to have with a larger search coil to prevent the search coil from dipping down in front.

Happy Hunting!:)
