Ace 250 Coils..

While I'm waiting for the ground to thaw...again...that's northern Minnesota for you, I have enough extra cash to buy a second coil. I'm reading so many good things about the 4-1/2 " and the 9" X 12" that I have to decide which one would serve me better first. I plan on owning all three eventually, but I can only buy them one at a time..or my wife will kill me.:starwars:

I use the 4.5" coil more often than 9" x 12" coil... hunt slow and find them all. ;)

Thanks..I think I'm leaning more towards the Sniper..mostly because of the large amount of scrap iron buried in my own yard. Also..a lot of the old homesteads and barns up here are choked with saplings and brush. I think the small coil would work better getting around those tight spots. I can always ask for the 9"X12" for my birthday!:bouncy:

If you hunt tot lots, school yards, trashy parks, get the sniper coil.

If you hunt sports fields (not too much trash), farmers fields for relics, get the large coil.

Good luck! They are both great coils!

i ordered the 9x12 coil for mine yesterday. I hunt mostly fresh water beaches an open fields an parks. Not a lot of junk except your pull tabs on the beaches. Hope it serves me well. :csflag:

In case you did not know, there is also an aftermarket 12 x 10" SEF (Butterfly) Detech (DD) Coil, supplied with coil cover, available for the Garrett Ace in the UK. I see it is not available in the US yet.
