the more I research it the more rare I am thinking it is, very little info on the net to be found, one source states it is R-7 or R-8 that means very few are known to exist, and the condition blows me away

Keep it safe, if its that rare and considering the condition, it could pay for a new eTRAC or maybe a CTX!
Have you considered getting it professionally appraised?

only one I have seen for sale is on ebay and it is at $125, I have searched a lot and just not finding much info on it, does appear to be pretty rare
