My finds have come from what most would consider to be "hunted out" locations. (Of course that's a matter of opinion) I thought I would share with the V3 community what I consider to be a pretty good year. Also I thought I'd take the time to thank everyone for answering questions that I had early on, and for sharing their insights on how to setup the V3, I will probably have forgotten everything I learned by the time spring gets here again.
I have not tallied up the clad count, but the wheaties count out to be about 45-50, the silvers were slow in coming but I found a respectable number of them. Rings were always a pleasant surprise and kept me enthused for the next time out. I included my visual finds as well, marbles, dice, golf balls just because I figured why not..I found them in the pursuit of my hobby.
I also weighed out the lead that I found this year, tallied to be about 4 lbs of it.
Found a few buckshot pellets (really shows the sensitivity of the V3)
Some old rimfire casings.
Also found quite a few copper fittings, pipes, and even found a 10 inch solid copper rod.. i suppose thats worth something probably a pound or so's worth in weight.
Aluminum can-slaw.. yeah a pile of that. (2 plastic gallon bags worth of that stuff) I saved it just to see what it would tally up to.
Thanks for taking the time to look, and looking forward to getting out and swing the hoop some more in the next year.
Oh time spent hunting.. rarely more than an hour or two at a time, with a patient spouse. Intermittently over the spring/summer/fall.
