A White Gold, Diamond-Studded "Bicycle Chain..."

forget the gold price, the money is in the diamonds!!!!
Not so ! The dealer I go to said that diamonds are not really as rare as we are being told.

The most recent rings that I have found had diamonds in them but he did not want the diamonds....just wanted the gold around them. He asked if I wanted the diamonds back after he bought the rings and I asked him if they were worth anything. He said that in today's market, diamonds have dropped in value to a point that only if it is large (3 carat or larger) or near perfect diamond do they even want the stones. I had 14 stones in 4 rings and none were larger than a carat. Diamond prices dropped so much that De Beers stopped mining them for about a year a year ago.

He says that actually, Silver is more rare than gold.

Nice find Clive. You are the man when it comes to finding stuff like that!
