A V3 Teaser for upcoming video...

I took some tips you guys gave in my first video thread, and tried those out in the field today. I actually was able to see a major difference via a few of them, so I want to thank you guys for that. I ran the V3 today in all metal mode. I took the AM (DC) sensitivity and ramped it up to match the disc sensitivity (AC), and hunted with it like that. I sped the recovery rate to 40. I know this will kind of hinder the ability to maybe hear the extremely deep items, but I don't like a long drawn out signal on something. I more the less made the V3 as close to an F-75 as I could get it, and I was actually very impressed. I had the thing "hooked up" today. Same site. Same dirt. And a totally different outcome. Oh and I ran it single frequency on the mid frequency. I actually dug 2 bullets around the 7" mark that gave good signals and actually pretty good VDIs.....which in my dirt is almost unheard of for a VLF to give good on both. The F-75 would give good audio but would normally give the ID as iron with a quick bounce into the non-ferrous. I got a lot of video today and will try to get it all edited and pieced together for you guys. If you have been on the limb of getting a V3 for relics.....you are gonna want to see this video. I want one now for myself :)

Now these ain't much compared to some of my days down there, but me and my wife only spent about an hour down there today and had to leave because it started raining on us. I am very happy!

I anxious to see the video Dan and glad the V is starting to come around for you.

Now your talking Dan,I live in Australia and the info on the V3 is a bit shy in this neck of the woods, got my mind almost made up but need more reports like yours to swing me over ,I enjoyed your video and am looking forward for the next one,all the info is a bit daunting about the V3 and the more I get to understand it the easier it will be to bite the bullet, when you've been using another brand detector for years its a bit hard to break the loyalty also, good luck with your editing,,I know how time consuming it can be to end up with a good out come,,Bazza

I have it all edited and I am uploading it to YouTube now. It is the biggest and longest one I have done to date, and I added in an extra or two. You guys are gonna love this one (I think) well as far as I'm concerned, this is the best one I've done to date. YouTube is still saying it's gonna be an hour and a half before it's ready....it's 176 MB.

Good job on the bullets! The middle frequency is the way to go. Looking forward to seeing the video! I haven't used the mixed mode that the relic program comes in, but will be trying it when I can get out again now that I am accustomed to the machine.

Well, that was a good showing on that video... Thanks Daniel.. Seems like the time invested open new thinking, huh?

Ohh, and I really would be interested in seeing a '950' concentric in that ground or in relation to your testing... I know you are just investigating the operation on the V, and probably don't have one... But the curiousity for me is the posts referring to this coil... I am in Alabama, and understood your reference to the gentleman from AL at the hunt you mentioned. I also have an LTD, V3, and Safari..

This is the first Fisher i have ever owned, and it certainly has it's place... Dang it's too good but I sure do like my "V"...
