A TRICK FOR SEARCHING IN TAAAAAL GRASSSSS

Then again we could use defoliant like in Viet Nam stuff looks just like orange pop:biggrin:

Hi Folks; Gunmar, you started a real ball rolling here. THANKS. Another idea is RENT a John Deere mower even though I'm rooting for the cows.!!!! :lmfao: This is getting better with each post.!!!! PEACE:RONB :bouncy:

If you are a golfer, like me, and have read Harvey Penick's Little red book on golf- he has given probably one of the best golf tips in any golf instructional. He advised a professional teacher to use a weed whacker and imitate the motions of lopping weeds as a learning aid to the proper motion for hitting golf balls. lt was said that the professional had to discontinue them as they weren't requiring his services anymore. Well...........

Hi Silversmith; That would really get things cooking.!!!! Would make for a hot site though. PEACE:RONB :surprised: :detecting:

BARKER asked; Hi Folks; Can't resist this one. Question : Why are you hunting in that type of area ????

Because others Will pass on it. Because there might be good stuff there. Because that is what is in front of teh 1920s house I'm hunting.

Ummm, never mind, there is no good reason for anyone to hunt long grass.

Jeff

Here's one a grass pig (woodchuck) get em nice and fat and then put em on BQ they is good eatin!I'm gettin hungry thinkin about it.Ask any ole good WV boy!

Hi Jeff; Granted those are good reasons I can and do appreciate..I've just never heard of anyone searching in grass that high so purely out of curiosity, thats why I asked. Then I offered a possible, practical solution to the barrier(s) at hand. That of using elongated boards attached to the bottom of snowshoes instead of having to pick up and move a board or rug every time you moved to a new spot.I then followed the natural flow of the conversation in good humor.Starting with Davey Jones suggesting "dang goats" Me saying "Maybe maximize to cows." Then it went to "cow patties" to Bic and WD - 40. and finally grass pigs,(woodchucks). As you can see all these things were said in helpfull manner by many of us and with good spirit and in good humor.I hope this clarifes any misgivings etc. you may feel ok.With that said PEACE:RONB
