A TRICK FOR SEARCHING IN TAAAAAL GRASSSSS

I was talking with mike parks of mission metal detectors in coon rapids Minnesota and we wear talking about the tall grass and i suggested a weed wipp but mike said no just use a board and keep flipping it over it will press down the grass and you can swing , the board does work good but when the ground gets a bit uneven i need some flex so i tried out this carpet and it works really well hugs the curvs , . anyone else got some suggestions?

Might try a large piece of a lightweight material and walk over it to pank down the grass...heavy material would be a pain to carry and move around...in either case it works...

Hey PMB, I like it! Sort of combine hobbies  If you get there and find snow, you could use the board for snowboarding.....that's 3 hobbies :super:

Hi Folks; Can't resist this one. Question : Why are you hunting in that type of area ???? :stars: Second is that silversmith touched on something here. Have you thought of snow shoes with a long board attached to their bottom. That would save having to pick up the blasted carpet etc. every time you moved. Just think of the exhaustion you'd save yourself. I'm just very intrigued by this new "concept." I'm dying to hear the final results of your efforts on this one. Good Luck. PEACE:RONB

I think it would work great a lot of places by me look like that

IN CROP CIRCLEING the board is tied to their feet like snowshoes! If you can mash down corn stalks it will work for grass.Or if you know how to swing a grass sythe they work great.Corn mash hmmm reminds me gotta check on my still LOL:rofl::yikes:

Heres one for ya a dang goat!!!! HA HA LOL:rofl: or maybe a small search coil

That would be a pain to have to do the best way is to get the LTD it has a very good air gap

Hi Folks; Davey Jones; The only problem with goats is they would have far more fun than you.!!!! Maybe if we maximize and use cows even though goats would be easier to handle!!!!    PEACE:RONB

I suppose The grass could be baled into hay, then it would solve the problem. But so as not to waste the grass we could feed it to the cows. But then the cows would have to be milked......and that means getting up early.......and then we would be to tired to metal detect and then........see the problem BARKER LOL:rofl:

no if you feed it to the cows you creat a greater delema cow pies over a good target ? thear must be a better way

As I said before get the LTD it has an air gap that will give you about 6 inches or cut the lawn or wait till the summer heat kills it!
