A TICKET a Ticket I got a ticket!!!!! Yippie!!

There is a line that we can all choose to cross even though we are in the right as you well know because of your past experience as a police officer. Unfortunately, this case seems to be deteriorating fast and lots of ill feeling developing towards the hobby we all enjoy.
Those association /homeowners are judging the hobby by your actions and this might hit the newspapers and media (if it hasn't already) and end up giving our hobby that we all enjoy a huge black eye and maybe resulting in other areas closed off to detecting. It's totally your call and your decision to either press forward or drop it. Best wishes and keep us informed and H.H.!!

like a diver below their children. I am suposedly scaring the kids AND there are 13 - 16 year old girls I could be watching. I also have 6 daughters. HOWEVER, I chose to stay away from that area when ANYBODY was around and was diving to the right of their dock, BUT still in front of their park. NOT the swim area to the left. These are millionaires that believe they can push anybody around they want. I don't see it as a black eye. I see it as people trying to infringe on my rights. They NEVER once asked me nicely not to dive there. Always were rude and called the police. Anyway, thank you for your input. I really do enjoy the peace under the water and I also enjoy my rights.

Give em hell scubadetector! I hope this comes out in your favor.

I promised NOT to go in the lake till the law is researched. They have a private law firm researching it now. Also waiting for a call from the lieutenant of DNR and something in writing. So no court, no going back in the lake for now and will find another place to play!! BUT!!!!!

in more news my boat is mostly finished, took it for a test run yesterday and had a small problem. Repaired it last night and it seems to be ready to go for another trial run. It is a 1990 20' Four Winns Candia. Perfect for diving and hitting the shores of Lake Huron and Lake St. Clair.

Thank you all for your comments and support. I in NO way wanted to put a black mark on our hobby, BUT wanted to keep my rights and not give in to millionaires with nothing better to do with their life except harass others. Will keep you all posted on the final outcome!!

This may be the best solution to the issue .. You stay out of court...... The decision will be made as to yes you can, or no you can't, detect there....
Then, "once that decision has been made", you can decide what you want to do with that decision. It also may keep you from being sued by the "Millionaires"
"Who have nothing better to do, and most likely have an attorney on retention".. for their association.

You may want to pursue it if your ruled against in a court of Law too!. Lot of options at this point. Pick the one that works best for you.. If the posts were accurate as to the laws of taking items from the bottom are true.. You might have ended up in a bad situation over all.

Good Luck and I'm on you're side but with all that money around that lake could cause abit a problem with the judge if you know what I mean.....:)
