General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

A New Detector From White's???

Never parting with the V3I or my DFX for that matter but once the V3I is paid for by finds I will purchase the next machine Whites offers. I am dedicated to Whites as an American company that makes quality detectors and will never own an ML unless I win one or get it for nothing. After a short time with the V3I I realize if you learn it you can do things with it that an E-trac is just not gonna do (based on an experienced friend with an E-trac)... I get gold all the time that the Excals walk over.(only silver with my V3I no gold yet) These Whites machines, with patients and determination are the best out there PERIOD. If you just want to hunt get an ML if you want to learn about what your doing I believe there is no finer machine right now than a V3I give me one that's water proof OMG the possibilities are endless.

Most of you are going to be terribly unimpressed when they release the new model(s). Do not get your hopes up
 
What do you know that we don't Chris? I have had every new detector that White's has come out with in the last 30 years and I have been impressed each and every time.
 
Eh, just a wild guess.
yes, i do use an explore 2 (what does this have to do with Kansas city?) but still express the fact that the idx is the best machine ever. Let me put it this way, we have 5 detectors on put house and 4 of them are white's, 3 of which are of the classic variety.
 
I just think that people are getting all worked up with the hopes that White's comes out with something that "competes" with the new ctx. I just don't think that's the case. Isn't that what the V3 thing is for? I was out yesterday with a well known friend who had a ctx on loan and I was completely AMAZED by the CTx. Amazed in a bad way. The balance on this thing is disastrous! Not only that, but during the hour or two we had it in use, it had 2 or 3 computer errors that require taking the battery out to reset the computer. Then, when comparing it to several white's (idx, silver eagle, classic 2, and a couple other older machines) and an explorer II (not mine) it didn't even compare. Both air test and in ground target comparisons the other detectors killed it. I know, we didn't have a chance to "learn" the ctx...
So I think White's has nothing to beat or compete with for now. Are the White's fans going to be upset if they don't have a $3000 model as their next new release?
 
Well I am going to be upset if whites does come out with a $3000 model, mainly because I couldn't buy it.
 
Everyone and I mean EVERYONE who I know that bought a 3030 has traded them in. Talk to the guys on Virginia beach. And wasn't the CTX ML's answer to the V3I? I'm sorry I am going to be one of those guys who's is blinded by the White :) I have popped a gold ring now everyday since Monday (including this morning) on a beach that is covered with Excals. I wont post because I think it's overkill, I will if you want me to. This V3I has the potential to be a beast once learned. If the next whites is anything like a waterproof V3I I will be upset cause then the competition will be too fierce. Keep ML and all that is associated with it. In this time of crisis I buy American and with customer service like whites I will stay with them faithfully for life, and with complete confidence that I have a machine that can be made to be like and better than anything ML can put out. The next Whites im sure will be able to see different levels of targets. That is the one thing that I would like to see.
 
Everyone has an opinion, and I guess yours is as good as mine. For as example I had an IDX and even had it modified. You said it is the best Whites, I sold mine. Believe me when Whites comes out with a new top detector I will not be disappointed.

As far as the CTX I have not seen one yet. I know someone who owns one and I value his opinion. He likes his. Lets not get to comparing. The post is Whites new machine.
 
I believe you brought up the minelab reference. My post wasn't intended to be a us vs. them comparison. And of course choice of "best" detectors is based on personal preference. There no such thing as the one and only best as everything is subjective.

New "scuttlebutt" is always out there on products in development or "soon to be released". You have to take it all with a grain of salt as something is always going on (from shampoo to vehicles). I can't see a new top machine being released because of how recently the V3i was introduced to the market and how fine of machine it is. A small brother yes. An improved model yes. A new top machine so soon.....why?

Uh.... hasnt the v3i has been out for nearly 4 years?
 
Less than 4 years is not that long of a period to then pop out a new TOTL machine again. (But you can bet the next gen. is always in the works!) Seeing how Whites and others do things, I'd be looking for something using an improved/existing MOTL foot print, or another "little brother" using a TOTL one.
