A New Detector From White's???

I have been hearing for a while about a new detector from White's. I am guessing it will be along the lines of an AT Pro or a CTX3030. Has anyone heard anything about a possible new waterproof discriminating detector with a display from White's?

The other side of that is that it gets people guessing...and talking...both are good things that add to the suspense. A good marketing plan always has some limited information leaks.

It is on the way and should be around 6 months out, as to what it is I do not know for certain. This information was leaked from Sweethome. I am sure there must be some prototype detectors in the field that we dont have info on yet.

There's going to be a new Waterproof TDI called the TDI Aqua and they are re-releasing the IDX Pro as the M7, another in the Matrix series. Oh wait a minute, I was just dreaming that. Hope it doesn't start any rumors.

Just remember, speculating may be fun for some people, but Rumors are just that Rumors. People who do testing sign a NDA and they shouldn't be leaking secrets. If they do blab they should not be testing. MHO and you know I am humble.

It is exciting whenever Whites offers a new product because you know it will be good.

I think they already have a waterproof TDI called the Dual Field PI.

You are correct Neil..... I had one and the lack of discrimination drove me crazy in trashy beaches.

I have the TDI and sold my Dual Field. Not anywhere close to the same machine. TDI has ground balance and high and low tones for high and low conductors. Saying those two are the same because they are both PI's is like saying the V3i and the DFX are the same.

Well let's hope for a new 3 frequency waterproof detector.... that would make me want to sell my V3i....
Anyhow I think that waterproof is going to be the next step. I mean whites has all the possible detectors, only missing a screened waterproof one.

I hope not, I don't want to lug around a 5lb detector just so it can be waterproof. You can't read the screen underwater anyway and the new 5 pounder hasn't got that good a review in the water. Why pay for a waterproof case and seals if you don't need them?

If I want a water detector, I'll use mine and put up with the weight. I don't want to lug any extra weight with my land machine. I don't need a detector that is, a jack of all trades and a master of none.

Never parting with the V3I or my DFX for that matter but once the V3I is paid for by finds I will purchase the next machine Whites offers. I am dedicated to Whites as an American company that makes quality detectors and will never own an ML unless I win one or get it for nothing. After a short time with the V3I I realize if you learn it you can do things with it that an E-trac is just not gonna do (based on an experienced friend with an E-trac)... I get gold all the time that the Excals walk over.(only silver with my V3I no gold yet) These Whites machines, with patients and determination are the best out there PERIOD. If you just want to hunt get an ML if you want to learn about what your doing I believe there is no finer machine right now than a V3I give me one that's water proof OMG the possibilities are endless.
