I caught up with a detecting buddy today and he showed me a couple of his recent finds with the v3. He was running the 2.5 frequency and 5hz low pass. 90 on the disc settings using the all metal channel. He got a squeek out of it with a vdi of 64 and got over it and got a signal of 74. It hit repeatedly in the mid 70's and pinpoint showed it 6+ in depth. 10" down pops this 1844 seated quarter. The town did not exist till the 1870's and the coin certainly appears to have been dropped before the turn of the century. He detects allot and never appears to be fatigued from the the nearly constant chatter running all metal. The places we hunt are literally trash heaps and I cant handle hearing it all but he just keeps on chugging along.
Here is a sterling silver brush he found and a 1904 dime..... I got my sef 10x12 and it wont run a gain past 4 before becoming unstable. It completely overloads at 13:veryangry:
