A first for me.:surprised:

Thanks greasecarguy. That's neat that your son got one of these. Wish mine was in better shape, but I'll take any coin in any condition when they are over 150 years old. HH.

Thanks Erik. Keep swinging that coil buddy and you may get lucky one of these days as well. Getting better each day, but limiting my time metal detecting. Just felt good to finally get out. HH.

Thanks Bryce. I know what you mean about getting on the computer while working. Been there, done that. Never got caught though. It's a sweet find for sure and a vacant slot in my collection now filled which I never dreaned of filling. Now to find that darn seated. HH.

That's a very tough coin to find up here in our neck of the woods. Congrats Eddie and good to see you out swinging again.

Thanks a lot James. It was a shocker for sure when I picked that little baby up and saw what it was. Three centers might be hard to find, but you know that I'm not going to give up on finding my first seated.:detecting: I may try and get back there, but it may be a while and who knows what that area will look like by then. I still have a couple of other spots that I told you about that I'm wanting to hit later this year. You may find one also James. Just got to be in the right place at the right time and hope that your coil will be swinging over it like you say. Thanks again buddy and continued success on your next hunt. HH.

Thanks crazyman. It's a nice addition to my collection for sure. Still not giving up on finding that darn seated though. It was nice to finally get out and do some detecting after about six months of being laid up.HH.

WOW - Awesome find, CONGRATS!!!!!!

Great find Eddie. I know how you feel!! I found my first one a few years ago at a sidewalk replacement project. It was in a little pile of dirt next to the walkway(1852).
