A fine display

I finally got around to making a display case for all of the finds I made at the old home place. It took me almost as long to build this as it did to find all of the items inside. I've since traded my Garrett for a Minelab but since all but two of these finds were made with Garretts I thought it deserved to be posted here.

To hide the dowel ends that allow the case to tilt, I inlayed a seated dollar copy on each side, both dated 1845, the year the homestead was settled.

The case needed some depth to it for a few of the finds and inset at the back is a picture of the place from the late 50's.

Beautiful work, great craftsmanship and a lot of pride went into that case. My hats off to you. Very artistic. The silver dollars covering the dowel ends is a nice touch.

Now that is just kick ass!!!!!! I have seen a lot of display cases but that one is by far the best one I have ever seen. Great job on that case, how about making me one. LOL

Very nice workmanship. It's unique and definitely one of a kind. Great looking professional job. I like the idea of the coins in the ends to hide the dowel. Again, Great Job!!

BEAUTIFUL! Something like that I would be proud to display in my home.:super:
