A few SCUBA finds...

Yesterday was my third attempt at metal detecting at depth using SCUBA and my Excalibur 1000. Just starting to work the bugs out of the technique and getting a little more comfortable. The dive was a lot of fun as it was but the silver and gold made it even more enjoyable! Can't wait to dive in again!

I made these finds at about 10 feet in a local lake that's seen activity for the past 120 years or so. Unfortunately that

I know of a lake here in Fl. that has a deep water slide on it. It has been an active summer camp for at least 50 years. The slide is anchored in about 10 foot of water and I always salivate when I think of the goodies that must be laying on the bottom near that thing. therick

Hey Seattle,
I'd love to see more pictures. Have you taken any underwater yet?

I can't take it. Have mercy.!!
I'm 32 weeks from retirement, and I am working 6 days a week. It's too cold to go diving, no time anyhow.
The forums are filling up with great finds, it's all too much. (weep weep).
All kidding aside, nice finds, brings back some great dives and water hunts of last year.
Come on summer!!
Keep posting those finds, love to see them.

I'd be glad to post some pics of my dive setup (to be posted shortly) but as far as underwater pics while SCUBA detecting I don't really have any... however I can describe what it's like...
Just wrap your head in a slimy wet towel that's been sitting in a stagnant pool of water, then go into a closet and turn out the light. That's exactly what it looks and feels like when your SCUBA detecting!
Here's a good example of what I usually see...
I knew that the sounds these finds were making were hopeful and that they felt about the right size to be coins and not beer cans, but I had no idea that I had found the gold ring or the buffalo until I got home and went through my goodie bag. It's all done by touch cuz you can see a dang thing!
