Went down to my favorite Hudson River site for about an hour and a half with the new NEL Tornado 12X13 coil. The Sov seems to really mesh well with this coil for hunting on this freshwater beach. I'll be doing a separate post reviewing this coil as it certainly deserves it's own post. Needless to say, I absolutely LOVE it!
Got a nice flat button (about the size of a dime) shank intact. 1924 and 1927 Mercs, 1936,1944 and 1945 wheats, 1942 and 1944 silver quarters and a 1940 silver war nickel. Last but not least, a 22 round. Not a bad night out for 90 minutes! Also found plenty of lead sinkers and the usual junk items. What a great time!
