can anyone tell me the difference in depth. thanking about trading my 9/5 hf coil for a 9 inch hf coil. I hunt sports fields, sometimes parks, old house places.

9 inch an 9/5 inch xp high fq coils

Thanks Waterdog, I've been wondering about that.
I had both those coils for my D1.-----My experience with them was that the 9" round h.f. was 3/4" to 1" deeper than the 9.5X5" elliptical h.f.

Maybe a little more with the round. The elip great for the really trashy spots. I would keep both if you can

The round is definitely deeper even in my iron rich soil. The elliptical can get between stuff better though.
