9.0/ 9.1

Just got my F75 back from having the updates done,and perused the owner's manual.

I might have missed something, but I could not find anything in the owner's manual regarding what is meant by 9.0 and 9.1, how to switch between the two, and what the advantages/disadvantages might be.

The manual did explain what DST is and how to turn it off; the new processes, new iron tones, and so forth, but nothing regarding 9.0 or 9.1.

Could someone here please explain what 9.0 and 9.0 signify, because I am completely clueless.

Thanks in advance.

Well the manual states to turn it off do the reset (trigger forward and menu button held turning it on). You will see the current version you are in. The manual states first turn on is in DST mode and that's 9.0. To turn off and use 9.1 just turn your dial to the right then release menu button/trigger to boot in that version.

Note, a lot of them are booting to 9.1 first as DST mode and 9.0 turns it off. Both will be quiet. My only difference is DST mode is less depth and slower response. For me DST is on 9.1. Thus all the confusion. New processes and tones are there regardless of 9.0 or 9.1

also, when you switch between 9.0/9.1 it's just like doing a reset and all settings are lost.

Mine boots up in 9.0, which I guess means that when I turn it to 9.1 the DST is then turned "off." Indoors, with my sens. set to 85 I couldn't tell much difference between 9.0 and 9.1.

Guess the big test will be when I get it outdoors.

I have access to a Union Civil War camp that has a set of high tension power lines running across one side of the camp. I've dug stuff under the lines, but boy is it a headache to detect.

I'm looking forward to revisiting this site and see how the new F75 deals with the EMI.

Thanks again--I really appreciate the help;

Greg

Can tell a lot of difference with mine between the two. In my house doing a air test when I go to 9.1 I have a great deal of EMI and a loss of depth due to the noise that is happening. 9.0 quite things down and gives me the greatest depth.
