8 inch search coil

Does anyone know if a ctX 3030 8 / 9 inch search coil is being coincided in the near future?

In some circumstances I could use a coil that's just a bit bigger than the 6 and slightly smaller than the11 inch coil?

I did do a search but could not seem to find any info.

Many CTX users have expressed a wish for an 8 inch coil. I have all three coils available for the CTX. And I would love to see an eight inch as well. I have not heard any rumors on the web, but I do know that some of the people from Minelab read this forum. So maybe some day. If I was to guess you might see another coil size with the introduction of the next FBS 2 detector. I think having coils for one model only is limiting your sales. But this all a guess as well. Thank goodness Minelab doesn't tell me anything. I'm terrible with secrets.

Kind of crazy long way round for me, when I need a 8 inch coil I pull out my Sov GT. A mate proved to me how good one is to use on his E trac on the beach yesterday in a heavily hunted beach area pulling a chunky diamond Gold ring out near me.

I put it down to my CTX nulling some iron and missing it and the 8 inch coil forcing him to slow right down making a very successful hunt for him.
Of late it's the only coil he will use his success has been nothing short of incredible.
Ive tried using my 6 inch coil but it is just a bit too small I find (It's a bit like cleaning the windscreen of your car with a tooth pick ).

At the price of the CTX coils, I'll just stay with the current 3. I now have over 3k invested in this machine. Gonna be a while till the finds pay this one off. Then again, its just a hobby.

I have the 6" and would really like to be able to get a 8" or 9" coil.

Hunted with the 6 today. Doesnt seem to be an exact coverage pattern . As it doesnt swing well.
