8.5" Widescan coil on Tejon?

I can't speak for the Tejon, but my Vaquero with the 8.5 widescan showed no significant benifits for a quarter sized object over the 5.75 widescan in my test bed. That doesn't mean it won't work better in real world conditions and for other styles of hunting. I never went beyond the comparison before exchanging the coil for a 5x10.

Ok, then the question is, did the 5X10 have at least comparable separation and better depth than the 5.75?

5x10 has great separation but not as good on depth as the 5.75.

I got both the 5.75 concentric and the 10x5 DD ... 10x5 givs alot better coverage and just as good a seperation as the 575 and in my humble opion in usin both coils I dont rekon theres much diff in the depth in the field ..a benifit I find is that my Tejon is more forgiving in GB adjustment with a DD the threshold is smoother and prehaps for those Tejon users that state that the Tejon cannot be hunted in non disc threshold based AM ..prehaps they should try a DD
