Pentax W30..............Price is good, camera is excellent. Excellent picture quality. I have last year's version and the original version. It takes a real beating as I wear it around my neck when hunting and then keep it my purse at all times (and you know what a beating that is!!!)

I have a 770 and it takes great pictures under water.
My only dislike is it attracts too many fish.

But then again, I've been looking at the specs on Bobbie's camera. Gosh, it's so hard to decide....they both look so good!

Thank you both for your help....

Mike (brother), any advice? (PM me if you want.)

Stacey

i think the difference only ... Pentax 10ft waterproof.. ask Bobbie
to post or to send you closeup shots...macro is very important.
Alex.

They are nice Camera's i bought one about a month ago for our up coming trip to Niagara Falls. didnt want to take my nikon in the water mist from the falls. Plus it will be nice for beach hunting.
Pic of a house on the edge of one of the parks i hunt.

Your camera pics look great!! I caint wait to see some underwater pics! Heres a few pics i took with my Canon A530. It only has like 2.5 inch close ups :( and flash seems a lil bright for closeups, but other than that i love it!!! HH yall!!

The new Pentax Optio W30 is even better because the LCD screen does not fade out in the bright sunlight......many point and shoot cameras do. when you are taking a close up shot, it depends upon exactly where your focal point is.......Alex's focal point was right on the stones, thats why it is so bright and sharp. As you can see, my focal point was slightly off on the last photo......the paper clip is the sharpest image!!

Those close-up shots sure are nice...have to admit.

As for my Canon A620, you know it does some nice stuff. Here's one I just took a few minutes ago...of a coin I dug at 7PM tonight, in some woods being cleared for a condo project.
