61/2 hour hunt at the beach today and very impressed how it handles on the beach.

Went out today to my favorite beach early this morning and had a pretty good day. I did manage to get a few coins , a lot of trash, and a little bling. Really tough to find those gold rings. My problem is I just don’t have the discipline to dig all those pull tab #’s–26-27-28. Also those lower gold numbers. When I do, it’s almost always either a pull tab or foil, need to get out of that mind set. Anyhow, very impressed with my Legend, should have bought a multi- frequency detector years ago.
Please don’t make fun of my hand-made sifter, use it instead of a pin pointer to retrieve my targets, very easy and fast to use.
Well I got to take a nap and rest this old body and get ready for the next HUNT.

Nice digging. My favorite beach I rarely find pull tabs. Another oll timer hits it early every morning.
So I dig every pull tab and nickel.
I've never dug an Allen wrenche. Cool.
Ya just gotta keep a diggin those tabs for tha gold.

I too was tired of digging pull tabs…..I was walking off of the beach at the end of the day,my friend walking behind me…..I was steps away from getting off, and I got another pull tab signal….I stopped, did the cross , centered the target, and said “I’m tired” and walked away from it….
My buddy behind me said to just dig it…..I didn’t listen….He dug it and it was a huge, big buck, ring !….I was SO MAD !…..It haunts me to this day !….Biggest detecting mistake made by me to this date !

6.5 hrs? Who are you, the Incredible Hulk???

I spend a couple hours on an OR beach each year and so far any finds worth a hoot were just entering or leaving the beach. I’m thinking people taking of shoes or jackets drop stuff as they bend over or take off clothing. A lot of tabs and caps where they put towels down. As said, for every millionth tab ya get a good find!

Beach digging is easy, I dig any solid signal I get, pull tabs and bottle caps. I love finding gold in these target ranges, knowing guys pass on them thinking they are tabs or caps. I go to the beach almost daily, I love the thrill of the hunt.

Beach digging is the best ! …..You’ll always find at least one target that you have no idea what it is ! ….Even if you get skunked, the scenery is always fun to observe..
