5900 Di Pro SL S/B Adjustment Questions

What's your 5900 and 6000 have Hombre? I'm just trying to get clear...is there absolutely no metal at all in your 5900 assembly? martin

I have nylon bolts for all of my White's detectors:thumbup:

Good enough. My inherited 5900 never had nuthin' but the metal screw, but I am very that sure I have a resource for a variety of nylon screws, along with the nut. It is odd that Whites don't package the deal though. martin

Hombre;
I'm still waiting for a coil cover for the 5900 as the person using it before was a scrubber .
The bottom of the coil is badly marked and gouged.
Been using the XLT for most of the summer hopefully try the 5900 soon.
Is that like a new sheriff going to Dodge,:laugh:hope you do well there:thumbup:

Hi Joel

What size of coil do you need a coil cover for? The 5900 came equiped with the same stock coil as the XLT (950) . I would think that you could do a simple coil cover swap temporarily until your new cover comes in, that way the 5900 could see a little action.

Today, I am headed west of me for a 3 hour drive to Dodge City. Once there, I am meeting a forum member from there to do some detecting at some places he has set up. He and I got into discussion about the E-Trac on one of the forums.......and basically got this hunt started as a comparison between detectors. I'm taking my deepest detector with me, the 5900 Di Pro SL with the Royal 800 coil. This set-up is really deep.....if you have the signal balance cranked past the pre-set at about 2:30 to 3:00 position on the dial. The 5.3 Bulls Eye or Black Max is my favorite small coil for the 5900/6000 series, but the Royal is a little deeper and separates the trash about as good. Also am taking several other detectors with me to do some comparisons with. He has the E-Trac and V3i and it will be a fun and interesting detecting adventure.

Hombre;
I tried a coil for the newer 9.5 and they do not quite fit the 5900s coil.
Slightly taller and deeper by fractions so waiting for the right cover its on order.
