I didn't delete his post. And I had no idea who USMCGrunt was until a few minutes ago. So any bad blood you saw was imagined. There was a quote to someone saying I can't delete my friends by him and I did react to that... I surely can. In fact the administrator can delete me and has on occasion. My dislike of people saying they can't be deleted is rooted in my dislike of people dropping names on me to get their way about something. It just rubs me wrong. Not something I don't get over though.

As far as Obama goes... You can go over to the Views forum and see my view there. Since you shared yours explicitly here's mine. It appears he had to approve the mission twice which makes me wonder what exactly transpired there. I believe he voted present first and then put it off sort of to the men in charge and when he didn't do that clearly they had to ask and hence the second time. Bush didn't have a clue on the borders but he has core beliefs. Something Obama hasn't a clue about. Stop by the Views Forum and let us know your views on the subject. Just expect to defend yourself.

I believe that USMCGrunt was in the baracks in Lebanon if it's who I think it is when they got bombed so he probably has little patience with a no decision making empty suit for a president.

Most over there believe in right to carry and other things Obama hates. You'll have a rough ride but if you make sense in your opinions you'll make some friends anyway.

Guvner..

Occasionally someone gets a detector that really suits them and makes some really good finds. Sometimes they might get carried away and make statements about how other brands just can't cut it. No big deal unless it becomes a habit or the person starts to put others down for what they use. I think this was a one time deal and as stated should be watched but not dealt with. In my opinion, there are a lot of good detectors that make some really good finds. I usually pick the ones that have stood the test of time ( EX. Tejon, Vaquero, ML Explorer and Sovereign). I've read where a lot of people on this forum think Minelab takes a back seat to other brands. I'm not a big fan of the company since it sold but if you take a stroll thru that forum you will see come really nice finds. Tesoro also makes a really good detector and has the best warranty around. It is one of the few companies left that care about their customers and not just how much profit it can make. The tejon is the one I use the most. Now for the Question--- What does Obama have to do with metal detecting? Topics like this can really bog down this forum and cause some heated discussions that won't benefit anyone. By the way I voted for McCain.

How come this story doesn't suprise me? And thanks for the story. Not only the Tejon out-performed, but I would bet my last dollar, many of the cheaper Tesoro's would have done the same also.
For instance, let them try a Silver Micro Max against the 1700.00 unit in small iron! Great hunting and good luck, all! skypilot02
