5 games of Hide N Seek...and I won two of 'em.:beers:

Very good finds. I must be doing something wrong, I think one of the reasons is that we would never be allowed to detect on a lot of areas that you have access to, as the jobsworths would try to fine you for something.
P.S.
Can we please swap fuel prices with you, I have just worked it out and Diesel works out at about $10 per gallon even with a car that averages 63mpg it is still a lot of money.
Have just got Andy's book and loaded a couple of new programs so hope to do better this year.
Hope everyone has a great detecting season

I use a exp 2. Run with the 10x12 SEF coil. The warble everyone speaks of is lost to me. Is the pitch a high tone or a lower mid range tone.

Another great hunt Bryce..........plus some darn good advice for hunting in iron..........Hawkeye Jim.

Nice work bud. You can sure pull the coins from the iron. Wanted to hunt today but too cold for me.

Do you find it easier to make finds in iron like this when the ground is moist ... or bone dry?
Whats your personal opinion? Nice finds by the way and thank you for the info shared.

I do get more falsing over deep iron when the ground is saturated...and although I wouldn't say it makes it easier in dry ground...I guess I do have less falsing to deal with.

Let me clarify that neither way is easy. It can be very frustrating at times and takes tons of patience AND the settings that we each prefer and have trained our ears for.

I actually get some additional falsing when the ground is parched too...BUT deep iron doesn't "sound" as good when it's dry as it does when it's wet.

You never cease to show what the Explorers are capable of mate! Excellent work, finds, and information.
Keep it up and thanks for the tips you throw in the post.

Very inspiring post. I love this forum and being able to pick up the tips you share. Much different than my xterra...but I hope to learn the "quirks" of the explorer. Thanks and nice finds.

Lots of fun and Herk is a "super squirrel chaser":clapping:
We have some warm weather coming this week so maybe we can hunt inbetween the rain.

the WOT coil to be exact. I know that probably shocks some people but it is does well for me in the iron and covers a LOT of ground.

My shoulder didn't feel so good afterwards but it was worth it.

Thanks again for all the nice comments.
