4th Silver

In the last 5 hunts, I've found 4 pieces of Silver. Today's find was a 3" deep 1896 P Barber Dime. This Detector is by far the best I've ever owned. I ran the whole time in Park; sensitivity at 28 and 60 tones. Ya gotta listen to the tones.
BTW, I found 20 some coins and 13 of those were in one hole. Also found a Kansas Tax Token from the 1930's. Most of the targets weren't alone in the hole, either nails or bottle caps were there as well. Separation is fantastic with the 6" coil.

Just went to 60 tones and really started to listen for the faint and iffy high tones. Also slow as she goes. I think the Detector is TEACHING me to be a better listener. That said, however, if it creates the same result with my wife, I'm doomed.

You’re doing well with your Legend. What detector or detectors were you using before the Legend? Have you used any other coils for the Legend besides the 6 inch? What is your overall impression so far of the Legend? What software version are you using?

I was using a couple of detectors; a older Whites SL and a Equinox 800. Chose the Legend for everyday use and it's been a stellar machine.I have both the large coil and the 6" coil and prefer the 6" because I get fantastic separation of targets and I've dug silver dimes at over 8". I have the latest software update 1.11 and basically turn it on ( it will start up with the last program you were using when you turned it off) and hunt. If I need to adjust the sensitivity because of EMI, thien that's basically all I change. I hunt in 15 kHz and occassionaly switch to M3.
Overall it's a fantastic machine especially at it's price point.

Everything's back to normal now, darn it!!

AND, just like that it's back! This old park has given up more Silver this year than at the start of any year in the past. I dug a Barber Dime @ ~ 4" . I love my Legend! 1914 is the date.
