Incredible amount of finds in one hole!
I believe you meant to say more then “2” for sensitivity. If not you have one super powerful Equinox 😂

When I was a little kid it was not unusual for some women to sit for hours crocheting ..often these women would have a large jar of mixed buttons in hopes they could find 4 or 5 that would match for what ever they were making Or just to have around for repairs...
That’s what I was thinking too 👍

Buttons. ReReading what Bootyhound wrote again made me remember being a little guy and grandma had a big jar of buttons in the hall closet. We would use them when playing checkers, fake money when playing other games, replacement buttons on coats, shirts, pants, etc. when we “popped our britches”. She often would just pick a button up when we walked to the store. I learned from her to only pick up pennies that were heads up for good luck.
Just went downstairs as I have my grandfather’s old button up sweater, yup, one button not like the others…… Mkus I think you may have found the greatest treasures of all, memories.

My mother had a very large long, white box full of buttons--It took me a long time to gradually sort them out by size, colors & shapes--Alas, during moving from city to SE MO the very best ones that were really old & large disappeared & probably were my grandmothers for her's & mom's generations wore long heavy dresses & Coats, specially in the winters! I had my own, too, & the sorted collections are now in plastic zip lock bags stored & helping to overflow Tami's (my yougest daughter) small home where I am in Ste. Genevieve, MO! So much disappeared even while the movers were packing or was sold without my knowledge in the May, 2017 Auction I had to sell my belongings & my Duplex before moving in with my sister because I was very ILL with a Compression Fracture in my lower back--very, very painful; so easy to lie & take advantage of me, an older sick person! So remember that when anyone has an auction, they steal the better Collectibles & the best of the items sold or have a PICKER, who gets them practically FREE in their bidding! Were they DEMS or just plain ole GREEDY? Probably, as the Auctioneers were two families with teenagers & younger children! It still hurts to think & write about it--because a lot of it placed in the auction sale was my better detecting finds & antiques! But God will punish them for doing wrong to others! I am sure that I'm not the only one they stole from or are still LYING & stealing from in their auctions, if still in business! Ma

I'll agree with the others. I remember grandma had a jar of buttons , and an old cigar box with buttons, thread and sewing stuff in it,, was fumbling through it one time and learned to be careful fumbling through the box,, I found one of her needles with the tip of my finger ,,
That's a lot of finds in one hole,, congrats to you.

Thanks everyone 3 flat buttons are real old the rest I have no idea on age but it was a first for me to have all those from one hole...
