2nd hunt with the D2

I always felt like I got a little more depth with a larger coil.
If u ever field hunt or beach hunt u will want a big coil.
Small coils have their place too.
Last 2 hunts I was still able to pick out some targets in thick trash and iron. I run 0 disc, u just gota go slow and listen closely.
I’m sure a little coil would work great, but until I can afford 2, the 11” will suffice.

I ordered the 11"
as well. i get mine Thursday.
 
There is an incredible amount of history in those names on the tokens. But, it seems almost all their old camps in the late 1800's and 1900's are now under casino parking lots or underwater totally. Great job recovering then! The most silvers I have ever dug in one location was 28, other than a 'search' for 7 locations on an old mans homesite.. All bought in the early '70's and buried by the mans father. 500 Walkers and Franklins in a one gallon chlorine jug, and a 5 gallon glass jug filled to the top. 5 of the 7 were located and estimated at about $22,000 in silver at that time. All kept by the old fellow with no regrets on our part!

Interesting story. I have never dug a cache.
Last few years I have spent a a fair amount of time searching areas for local tokens. I have been able to amass a nice little collection, but it is getting harder and harder to find them.
Sounds like you and I have probably bumped into each other before…
