28 Personal Ring TID's results

That's a beautiful collection of rings! It must represent a phenomenal amount of pull tabs and aluminum slaw......I admire your dedication as much as the results!!
Thank you for taking the time and effort to share......

I think the 2 10k class rings tell a huge story... Other than the obvious size difference, I would have never guessed they be on both extreme sides of the scale. My buddy found a small girls class ring of 10k ovrr the wekend and it came in at 12-27... Go figure! Maybe someday they will figure out how to display just the gold content of the screen,

Buried Crap sent a later post stating that the larger class ring was actually silver. That would explain the numbers

Would you be interested in sharing your programs?

And if so, if so please let me know. I live in a small island and salt water is my best friend with lots of tourist.

Or if you could suggest some modes that I could try out. Thanks for sharing.

I have had my CTX 3030 for about seven months and have dug a lot aluminum these numbers and have never found a ring. So for the last three or four months I have been passing up these numbers as being aluminum. I don't think I'll be passing these numbers up anymore, I will dig it anyway now, even if it comes up aluminum. I wonder how many rings I have passed up. Thanks for the information and your hard work. It is very much appreciated.

I once read that a person will dig about 1,000 pull tabs for every ring. When you consider how often a ring is lost to the number of indiscriminate disposals of a pull tab, that is probably about right! In the past three years, I have only found about 20 rings, all silver except for one honkin' solid gold signet ring.......and it was under a tin pie plate that was all rusted out! Hooray for Target Trace! Even after a couple of years or so of using the CTX, I'm still learning its' language, however, I haven't used my Fisher F75 since getting the CTX! (don't get me wrong, the F75 is a great machine, just not as versatile and with less features).

Thank you for taking the time to put this together. I only have a couple of gold rings to sample and dig nearly every signal that matches and is repeatable. Looks like I need to broaden my ranges a bit as I usually pass over the .01 and .02 signals.

Anything near the 12FE line should be dug. Period.

On the beach I just kick a bit of the sand away to reveal the crumpled foil, usually just a few inches down. After finding trash all day I got the same 12Fe 02CO and it was a ring - small child's but not trash.
