This year wasn't the best year as far as really great collectable finds, but I'm moving from SoCal in the New Year (after living here for 40 years!) and moving to Utah and so I hope for much older finds and hopefully some old gold coins? and jewelry in Utah!
As GraveDiggerMax from Virginia Beach (who used to post on the Beach and water/Scuba dive Detecting Forum) used to say "Stand by".....and I'll keep you posted!lol

Guess I will amend my earlier statement. I finally hit a good one on a short after Church hunt today, a 1921 Morgan dollar. She is far and away my best save for 2017. Have dug a decent batch of silver this year, but nothing all that good, until today. Happy holidays everyone. HH jim tn

My wife's set of keys . It took four days of wracking our brains out and searching every nook and cranny. It finally turned up wedged between a baby car seat and its holder we had put in the garage for temporary storage . That turned out to be my best find of the year . As far as my detecting finds went it was my worst year yet . A lack of new opportunities , hunting time and aches and pains finally wore out my desire to even go . I did do ok looking in the Coinstar return slots when grocery shopping , I got more silver coins this year than my last two years of detecting . The detecting bug is coming back though . Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !
