2006 in Review..Warning for Dialup!!!

As someone who does not own an Explorer, my detecting partner has one. I have seen it in use since they first came out and if it were not for its weight, I'd own one too. Also if I was more of a yard and park hunter. I will be the proud owner of the 4000 soon, and perhaps after the $$$ drain from that, I'll get the SE or the next improvement. Thanks for your support.

John

BTW Matal detector knowledge and skill was very handy in Iraq..if you want, I'll post some pictures here of how they helped us.

I sit and drool over all the coins most of you find..especially the ND group. Don't get me wrong, I find my share but have other focus' depending on the season. NH Bob finds lots of LC's and I've never found one. Think they were too darn heavy to carry overland..they must have left them back east.

As far as the good site I found this last spring. I believe the oldtimers had found it before and managed to get most of the big targets out. Dealing with lots of hot rocks ect., they quit. I asked my old time detecting buddy and he said he never did find too many buttons. Lots of coins, plates, shoulder scale pans and cartridges/bullets, but not a lot of buttons? So, ask those old timers where thy hunted. I'm happy to tell folks where I used to hunt, but am now re thinking that with permission and new sites being so hard to get anymore.
