2 tone ferrous?

G4 - Hmmmm... by virtue of that mask, you believe there are no good signals that you want to hear between 01 and 31 with a ferrous number of 01?

that is correct, and trust me I have dug and dug and dug targets that were 01 ferrous while using two tone, and all have been iron. So in order to increase my time digging good VS iron I choose to disc out 01-01 thru 01-31............if you want to dig those numbers, then by all means dig em! please report back what u find!

I use Conductive Multi-tone with great success. I am not sure why you would want to limit your detector to two tone and not take advantage of all it's technology. Maybe you have a good reason for this. I am not trying to be argumentative, but would like to here some rationale for doing this. This is just a friendly note, and would like to here your response.

it is all about processor speed, less filters, the faster the etrac can respond. The more you disc out the slower the machine, pretty simple!

Thanks for the response. I wonder how much slower the processor responds when you use conductive and multi tone. I am going to run some tests and make some phone call to check this out. Thanks again.

Using two tones as opposed to multi tones is not limiting.....just different!
Two tones will sound off the same when over a target as will multi. It just gives you an easier single tone to tune in instead of it sounding like an ice cream van. (....sorry....ice cream truck!!) Forgot you guys were over the water!!!

Gaz.

I need to upload a couple of patterns. I have one that is similar but not as much on the left top is nulled and I either null 28+ at the bottom and one with all that and 49 and 50 conductive nulled all the way down the right side. It makes conductive multi run quiet. I think I start 01 and 02 ferrous at about 27 the bring back in the same area you have back in. It was an idea I got from Tom's book.

Like the pic though, how on earth do you keep the face so clean? Do you hunt in red clay?
