2 target question

With the etrac, I run TTF... If I run a wide open screen with the CTX, will the bad targets show up? Or are your bad targets the ones that you discrimate out.. If someone could help me with this..
Thanks

I got to play with one and from what I can see there are actually two ways to go now with the ctx, maybe 3 in regards to ttf. You can run in a ttf mode just like you did on the etrac, you can set it up the same. You can also discriminate out your ferrous targets but still see them with a diamond in the disc'd out area or it will show up as a blue mark on the screen. That will vary if you have live trace on or off. I have hunted ttf with the etrac on occasion also and what I can tell you is the ctx is much more flexible at doing it. All of the abouve does not even take into consideration the ability to use combined tones where your dis'c out tones will null or give you a lower ferrous tone if you turn disc off. To really understand it you should try to get to a dealer to play with one, you won't be disappointed.
And last to add to this you now have 2 patterns for each detecting mode. For the people who use quickmask it is like quickmask on steroids, much more flexible. So if you choose to use a variation of ttf where you decide to leave some disc you can set up any way you want in pattern 2 with disc. It is pretty amazing I must say.

All targets "show up" on the display, regardless of whether they are discriminated out or accepted. As with the E-TRAC, Reject and Accept applies only to the audio response you get from the detector. If it is a rejected target, you get the null. If it is an accepted target, you get the audio response. spdnj is correct in that there is a LOT of new functionality with the CTX 3030. If you've not taken the time to read some of the posts I've made concerning TTF vs the new Combined Separation, here are links to a couple of my TreasureTalk blogs on that subject. HH Randy
