2 New machines and a pinpointer

I'm not buying another detector but a rechargeable pin pointer that discriminates sounds enticing.
Ok so I have a question. So if a multi -iq detector capable of discrimination suffers from falsing, iron wrap around and so on whats to keep the pinpointer from suffering the same maladies. The concept in theory is sound BUT ????? Don't get me wrong I'm interested. But I also remember what a flop the Pro-Find 35 was. The screen could be a problem with glare or mud. Will probably hold off till I see some reports coming in. Mark

Couldn't agree more , plus I want to know it will work with after market headphones like my Avantree Torus. If the disc is anything like the probes that were so popular with the etrac machines (forget the manufacturer) the falsing was not an issue but did let you know you were chasing a tack instead of the target you had detected. That was useful in an iron filled area but the general design and ergonomics of those probes sucked , to have a simple pinpointer do the same would be a bonus. I haven't seen anything on price yet either and I'm not going to pay much more than a regular pin pointer for that little bit of luxury.

I really like that, with the Deus, you can hear the pinpointer through your headphones and no one else can hear it. I really don't believe I have ever wanted a pinpointer that discriminates, even in nail junk yard conditions though. A magnet works better if the problem is that bad. JMO
