2 hour beach scan with the PI ...

Willee - Texas

Well-known member
The White's Surf Master PI that I bought used was delivered today so I just had to head for the beach to check it out.

Hunted behind some condos and homes on Mustang Island south of Port Aransas Texas.
Did not take it out in the surf but hunted in the damp and wet sand.
Not many targets ... no coins ... no rings ... but did find some fishing weights, pultabs, one ss nut, and an junk ear ring.
There were two targets that I gave up on as they were just too deep for my scoop.
I dug down about 15' and was still getting a good siginal but that was all the deeper my scoop could go without making the hole much wider.
Most likely a beer can down 20". (dont even want to think about a Spanish coin)

I am impressed with the stability and depth this PI will detect at is awesome.
This is my first PI and I can say is it has more depth than any detector I have ever used in wet salt water sand.
Might take it out in the morning to a more populated part of the beach and get into the surf if conditions permit.
