If you do not have a macro mode on your camera, try putting the coin on a scanner......that takes an amazing photo of a coin.
 
Now Bobbie that's a great idea. I never thought of that. I tell ya you learn something everyday. I guess it work on gold chains too. Thanks for the idea, That will help a lot of people on the forum.Gene

Water has got under the silver to the copper and caused it to bubble.
 
I found a penny that had a "bubble" in it. When I looked closer, there was a masonic symbol stamped onto the penny. That maybe what you have.
