2500+ year old copper spear point

After a few days of research due to being housebound from non-stop down pouring I had a couple days

Nicely done! Great write up and pics, and of course the FINDS! Amazing trophy there!:clapping:

WTG I found one just like it , in pristine condition mine was in clay, I had the state archeologist document it , thats a really good find ,

Mine is the same style, socketed vs a tang end. There are some copper culture experts that post on these forums, they said the age of this kind of spear point is in the 4000-6000 range.

I found mine in Central Minnesota

Awesome, thanks for the info.

Good find. You can find a nice show on the copper mine in that area on an episode of "America Unearthed" (H2 network) called "Great American Copper Heist". It shows evidence that copper has been mined in that area for over 4000 years.

It is a find "10" :surprised::clapping::thumbup:
Thanks for sharing and for the story ... I also am going to poke your facebook ....

That is by far my most favorite find I have read about on here!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!!!!

The article is nearly as fascinating as the spearhead. You my friend need to submit both the picture and the article to magazines for all to enjoy.

I bow to you in humble adoration....+1,000,000. :jump:
