1935 Washington quarter was sitting on top of a nail at 7-8". [VIDEO]

Couldn't drive over to my new spot, and hunt the V nickel tree today because I was pressed for time. Only had about an hour to get some swings in, so went to my old park to re-hit some spots that had been good to me. Decided to pick a tree that had a lot of orange bricks buried in and around it. Not sure what was there, but I had found a Barber dime next to it, and a Merc a while back. This is a VERY trashy area. Even when you move slow there's just so much trash to try and sort through. Immediately I got an iffy signal, as you'll see in the video. I decided to dig it because it was below 5", and traditionally that's the magic depth at this location where a lot of "goodies" have been found. Probably would've dug it anyway since it was squeaking in the high tone range too. Anyway a two silver day, both a foot from each other, and only spent 20 minutes to get them. :)

Great finds!! Which coil were you using?

I'm using the stock coil, but plan on getting a smaller one. One of the parks I hunt has a lot of trash. I had bought a 6x8 SEF coil for my ETRAC, and that thing was a true coin sniper in heavy trash. Found 3 Barbers in an hour in a spot the Pro Stock coil was nulling a lot in. Just waiting till after the Holidays to order one. For now the stock coil is working great. I dig every iffy peep it makes, and although I dig a LOT of iron because of this, I'm also not missing targets like this '35 Washington. I wonder how many I've missed this year because there was iron in the hole making the tone "pop" and have a hard time repeating. Will only continue to remove the trash that's in my way to finding more I suppose! :)

I went out today, vbut didn't get much of anything. I'm using my 6" coil, but it seems like I'm not able to get down more than 3 or 4 inches for some reason. Everything I found today was on the surface. Great finds Ron. Next time you go out and you get an iffy signal take a video of your screen and post it. I must be doing something wrong. Thanks.
