18X15 SEF coil for GT

Received the goods yesterday (thanks for the Overnight shipping KC!) minus the 10X12 coil. Told by KC will ship when available. Waiting on scoop from RTG.

Just for giggles here are the weight's on the coils.

18X15 is 2 lb 8 oz or 2.5 lb.(with cable).

10 in Tornado (with cable) is is 1 lb 9.5 oz, tad over 1 and a half lb.

I have a postal scale so those numbers are accurate.

Soo...the 18X15 is basically one pound heavier.

Also that 18X15 IS a Detech coil.

Yep, the SEFs, 13" Ultimate, the Penetrater/Excelerator coils, and a few others....are all made by Detech. Fantastic company. They had some duds in the past (at least the old versions of the Penetraters/Excelerators were I guess, but I hear the new versions (which is called one or the other penetrater/excelerator versus the other as the old name) are better. I know the little 5 or 6" Excelerators are said to be good coils, and of course the SEFs are as well as the Ultimate from what I hear. It's just those found Penetrater or Excelerator coils, at least the old ones, that I heard weren't great, but there is a chance I hear the new versions are better...But then again I hear almost nothing about them so I still question that. But the 5 or 6" solid round excelerators are said to be great little coils. Although, I did read somewhere where a guy tested his against the Sunray S-5 5.5" coil and found the S-5 was a better coil, or at least he said it was a deeper coil, but I've never read anything other than that bad about the little excelerators. Everybody seems to like them.
