Back to the sidewalk tearout this morning found a Liberty Head V nickel, they don't come out to well around here but at least I could get a date off it.

Good find tencents!! Agree w/everyone about the condition. I've got a couple that are almost slick.

Last June jkline took me to a small town just a short drive from here. He had permission to detect while property owner doing some landscape/ground improvement. The guy tore out a section of old sidewalk and recovered a V nickel and a Buff, both in horrible shape and unable to read dates, he simply gave them to me!! Just off that area is where I dug a Victorian Sash Belt buckle. Good finds for you tencents!!
