Thanks Heavy D. So do I bro.deeponedge said:Good work bud. You always find a way to get it done. I hope they move another pipe or two out of the way for you.
Thanks Wayne. I appreciate it.wayne_etc said:I think we all can relate.
Sounds like an excellent hunt. The coins are cool too.

Thanks G-Money. I hope they get your E up and running again. Let me know what you find out bro.G-Money said:WTG Bryce , That is awesome to be able to go back and find stuff that was under iron !!!! Congrats to you and Dave on a great hunt !!! I sent the E-trac in today, it bit the dust saturday...Have a good one !!!
Thanks Mark.Markdb61 said:Really cool to find it where the pipe used to be. Nice work and good timing.

That was also about the exact time I fielt you needed some assistance in hunting the spot
What are friends for?
Thanks Neal. I noticed little orange flags in two more spots there..so I'm hoping for the best.NealNoIN said:Nice surprise! I think I'll start pulling up some pipes!!
Thanks DoubleD. Keep in touch brother.Derrelld said:That is an old one.. Great find brother
Thanks friend.BerntOut said:NICE!
Thanks Dan. I don't know what I would have done without this place. I took Herky along and truly just "wandered" around there so many times trying to clear my head.OhioCoinHunter said:Nice job, Bryce. Congrats on two great finds from a tough site. There's an old park nearby I've also hunted to death. Sometimes I go there to swing the coil to take my mind off things too. Once in a while it'll give up something when the metal gods are smiling. But, yeah, hunting can take your mind off your troubles and even put a smile on your face like your 1861 Seated dime and the 1889 Indian did.
Thanks coilswinger.coilswinger said:way to go that is a really good hunt
Thanks Orlensin. I believe I would have done the same...and given him some help too.Orlensin-FL said:Sometimes being in the right place at the right time comes into play. Nice old indian too and kind of your friend to "help" you hunt your spot...lol.
Thanks Phil. Wonder whatever happened to ol' "Disco Dan"?. He didn't have time to congratulate me on my 16D because he was too busy shoving us out of the way to get to my spot. Oh well...I'm sure that stray v-nickel looked good next to that back-pack full of crap he was toting around. He could have turned all those tabs, screw-tops, and bottle caps in to the scrap place and bought us all lunch.niterider_58 said:That's a sweet lady Bryce you found a ton of them last year looks like your on a roll again this year congrats. Thanks Harold. I got very lucky with this one...but that's what it takes these days.LabradorBob said:Great job Bryce,Once again persistence pays off.
Great job, and great post.

Thanks dirt doctor. This was the first time I have noticed anything moved at this site in 25 years. I did notice some orange flags about 30 feet away so maybe they will be removing another pipe.dirt doctor said:I'm always checking my old spots for some kind of earth movement human induced or otherwise Erosion can be your friend also . I've gotten a few goodies like that but you hit a mini mother lode of good stuff there . Nice going Bryce !!
Thanks Jim.Jim West Pa said:Them's some real sweet digs Bryce
Thanks Jim. I don't know what I'd do without metal detecting as an outlet. I can't pound the weights at the gym like I could 10 years ago. Well I can..but my joints and tendons can't.Hawkeye Jim said:Another great find and great post.........just like you Bryce, a good hunt does wonders for the soul.............................Hawkeye Jim.
Thanks Tom. I agree and have been digging a lot more signals. Many are ones I know I probably shouldn't be but if I didn't try some of these...I would be wondering aimlessly. Heck all the decent ones disappeared 5 years ago...so you have to take some chances.EtracTom-AdirondacksNY said:Just goes to show with looking at your surroundings and maybe trying a not so obvious spot what may still be left for us to find. Also I'm inclined to think at a poured over spot that it's probably best to just dig any signals as to see what may have been missed by us all these years of detecting. WAY TO GO yet again Bryce. Keep WOWING us!!
Thanks Eddie. Got lucky this time but maybe they will move some more dirt around there before long. It looks like they are planning some little things...so maybe I'll get lucky again in the future. Dave got punked this time...but I'm sure he will put a hurtin' to me next time.Eddie in Poulsbo said:Congrats on the seated dime buddy. Guess you were in the right spot at the right time and if that pipe hadn't have been dug up then that dime
probably would have been there for who knows how long. Nice going and glad that you were able to get out again. Looks like Dave got a licking this time. HH.
Eddie
Thanks G.R. I'm kinda' glad the "older ladies" grace me with their presence every now and then.Great Republic said:Nice going Bryce. You really seem to a way with the older ladies.
Thanks G.N. I am so glad the detecting season is here again. Winter about drove me nuts.Gold Nuggets said:Nice Seated silver coin Bryce....WTG! Glad to see that you,
Dave and Herc were able to get out for a short hunt. Sometimes
ya just got to get away and get into your own space for a
while....it helps. HH Gold Nuggets
Thanks Steve. Herky is part lab and part setter. He is the best companion I have ever had. When I get a decent signal to investigate I call him over. He sits there...ears perked up...and waits until I start digging a plug...then he starts sniffin' around the hole...seriously.sgoss66 said:Bryce, loved your story, so sorry about your mother (even though it was long ago), and I enjoy your style!
Great finds, and love your pup, too. Is he/she a Labrador? I have one of my own, a yellow. She's a great dog! You know, they ARE retrievers, and they know how to dig; just brainstorming here but when I'm bird hunting and tell her "find it" she goes looking for the downed bird; maybe I can teach her a "find it" command when the SE Pro says there's a silver in the ground, and have HER dig it up and bring it to me?! We'd BOTH be happy! Better than a Lesche and ProPointer even? A Labrador and her nose!
Thanks Bryce,
Steve
Thanks brother. I was just in the right place at the right time.NebTrac said:Another great story, along with some awesome finds! Thanks Bryce! You truly are a master!

Thanks Dave. It does shed a little hope to beat up sites if some dirt has been moved.McDave said:Just goes to show how many more coins are still waiting out there for one of us to find ! Congrats !!!
Thanks Steve. At many of my pounded parks I'm pretty thrilled if I can even coax a wheatie to the surface...lol.born2hunt said:Any seated day is an outstanding day Congrats
Thanks Randy.bbqman said:That is just too cool.
Thanks B-Rad. Having Dave move some obstacles around might not be a bad idea.Big Digger said:Thanks for showing me your nice finds Bryce, How long did it take Dave to get that pipe out of the ground?
Thanks Bobby. We had a good time...and usually do...even if we don't find squat. The Minelabs sure find a way to put some fun into a dismal day though. I'm really happy to be just swingin' the coil...but if some finds come my way...I'll sure as heck take 'em. I look forward to your next finds post my friend.Bobby Moyers said:Great hunt Bryce & Dave! Nice finds and some real excitement! I am very pleased with my SE and glad I made the move to a Minelab!
Thanks Mike. Yep...you never know.MINELABMIKE said:Wow' very nice Bryce, it shows no place is ever hunted out
Thanks J. I hope to see some more ground moved around there in the future. I noticed some small equipment and little flags placed...so I hope for the best.jcooking said:Nice find and taking advantage of the new opportunity to dig that spot without the pipe there!
Thanks buddy. I hope all that snow misses you and you are able to hunt soon.
