Hahahah, I wish, man that would be a killer job! Although last year a guy did pay me gas money and bought my lunch to drive 2 hours and spend the day with him to show him how to set up his etrac and show him the basics......man that was a good day, I found nine silver that day! Why can't a few of the best E-Tracker's organize and put on a clinic in differant states where others pay a fee and receive one on one instructions and Info. They would provide the hunting sites, bring their machine with them , follow you on your huntand check the targets with their machine , receive information from you on each target and gain the experience. Let them organize it collect the money and simply invite you to come. Of course It would have to be enough money to make it worth your time.Expenses, Income, and you get to keep everything you find..I think you could even get Air fair if enough people in an area willing to pay $50.00 to $100 for a full day with you. They pay more than that for Golf, Baseball and the likes. Let the Clubs organize it and do the work and you just show up and hunt and sell your brains. You , Nebtrac, Raymo and a couple of others. You might have as many as 50 or more people willing to pay at each clinic.
There are enough people on this forum who could do this. All we need is a Video crew, top hunters from All types of detecting with the E-Trac, relic, beach etc to include researching methods and creat our own show instead of that Diggers show.We could get support from Minelab and find some TV channel to really put on a complete true metal detecting show that covers every aspect of the hobby. All the information on the program would benefit the Manufacture, Dealers and Club membership .I believe if it was done right you would gain a lot of new members into this hobby because of a One place easy access for everything you wanted to know about the hobby which would make them more willing to invest more money into this hobby. I'm retired, with a video crew and 4 or 5 top members, we could create the structure of the program by creating videos during this years hunting season and the approach minelab and the Discovery channel. A real true reality show.
Yes that sounds very exciting, would be awesome to actually get paid to detect, I would think the biggest hurdle would be getting the private property where owners would allow film crews, because then the land owners would want paid, and from the finds we make, a silver coin here and there wouldnt be enough to pay anyone.
