1803 large lying on the surface, a Connecticut copper, and buttons

I usually stay hidden in the deep dark recesses of CTX-3030 forum, but thought this one was worth sharing with a larger audience. HH

I got up early this morning and went out to the 1793 field. It was a fun morning! I've only found one other large cent on the surface and finding a state copper is always nice.

Here is a video of finding the coin on the surface

Now it's time to go home and start setting up the pool!

Beautiful condition 1803 large cent, especially from a crop field that has been fertilized over the years. Many of my crop field finds are less than 6" deep. I found a 1700's King George cent laying on top of the soil in a crop field 2 years ago.
